Honey Bee Sanctuary

Youth Bee Works was recently gifted with 53 acres of land and is in the process of developing it as a honey bee sanctuary. This is a place where environmental, hands on learning can occur for the youth who visit us on class field trips. Our goal is to raise $75,000 for phase one through our silent stage of the Stewards of the Sanctuary Campaign. In this sanctuary it is our hope that students can witness pollination of fruits, vegetables and herbs and understand the connection from the bees to the grocery store. Our biodiversity garden program dovetails with honeybees perfectly and is also underway as this sanctuary is being developed.
